A word from the General Director

Vanguard School was founded in 1973 by Mr. Paul E. Zimmerman to provide schooling for students with severe learning disabilities.
The School relies on its partners, more particularly on the Development Fund, to help it move forward and to finance its educational projects and other activities.
Since its establishment, the foundation has been a great help by financing many of the School’s projects and by helping it implement its programs.
Thanks to its team of teachers and education specialists, Vanguard School strives to be a center of excellence for the education of students with severe learning disabilities.
With financial assistance from The Vanguard Development Fund, we will be able to carry out our strategic planning for the next three years.
I’d like to thank all the parents and our partners in the Development Fund for their help and support in carrying out our objectives.
We hope you enjoy browsing this web site. On behalf of all the board members of Vanguard School, I thank you in advance for your invaluable collaboration.
Carolyn Coffin-Caputo, Director General of
Vanguard School and Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Vanguard Development Fund
